Family Assistance

I spent a year and a half in hospitals fighting aggressive childhood cancer. My parents took a leave from their normalcy to surround me with love and attention so I could fight the fight. At the same time, they had to find ways to cover our basic needs and unexpected costs just to survive. Now, we are here to help you with your emergency medical expenses so that you can fight the fight with your child.

Daniz, KCCF child testimony

When doctors in Azerbaijan said there was no hope for my 8-year-old daughter Daniz, I was heartbroken and lost. Then I found Elana and the Koenig Childhood Cancer Foundation—and everything changed. They brought us to New York, covered medical costs, and treated us like family. Elana welcomed us into her home, stood by us through every hospital stay, and made Daniz smile with thoughtful gift bags. Today, Daniz is cancer-free because of them. I truly believe we met angels. I will forever be grateful to Elana, her family, and everyone at KCCF for saving my daughter’s life.

Mishka, KCCF Child Testimony

Our six-year-old son Mishka has been battling neuroblastoma for three years. After immigrating to Texas for a fresh start, his diagnosis shattered us. Treatment led us to New York’s Memorial Sloan Kettering, where we met Elana and the Koenig Childhood Cancer Foundation. Elana became family—supporting us emotionally, helping us avoid eviction, and keeping our family together through constant travel for care. To Mishka, she’s a big sister, bringing laughter, gifts, and comfort. Her strength gives him hope. KCCF gives more than aid—they give love, joy, and light in the darkest moments. We’re forever grateful.
